Statement of Faith
We believe:
- the Bible to be the inspired, only infallible, authoritative revelation of God, to man. It is, therefore, the ultimate authority in matters of teaching, belief and practice for the Church (John 16:13; 2 Timothy 3:15-17, 2 Peter 1:21; 1 Thessalonians 2:13),
- in the trinity of the Godhead as eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit - three persons in one (Matthew 3:17; Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22; John 14:6),
- that Jesus Christ is God, He was born of a virgin, His life was sinless, He performed miracles, His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood is our only hope of redemption/salvation, He was resurrected from the dead and sits on the right hand of the Father, He is the Son of God (Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:31, 35; Hebrews 9:14; 1 Peter 2:22; Acts 2:22; Acts 10:38; 1 Corinthians 15:3; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Matthew 28:6; Luke 24:39; 1 Corinthians 15:4; Acts 1:9, 11; Acts 2:33; Phillipians 2:9-11; Hebrews 1:2, 3; Hebrews 1:8, 9),
- Man was created good and upright but by voluntary transgression, fell resulting in physical death and spiritual death which is separation from God (Genesis 1:26, 27; Genesis 2:17; Genesis 3:6; Romans 5:12-19),
- Salvation is received through repentance towards God, faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ and through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost: that justification is by grace through faith - the inward evidence of salvation is the direct witness of the spirit and the outward evidence is a life of righteousness and true holiness (Luke 24:47; John 3:3; Romans 10:13-15; Ephesians 2:8; Titus 2:11; Titus 3:5; John 14:6; Romans 8:16; Ephesians 4:24; Titus 2:1, 2),
- in baptism in water and Holy Communion also known as the Lord's Supper (Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:16; Acts 10:47; Romans 6:4; 1 Peter 3:21; 2 Peter 1:4; 1 Corinthians 11:26),
- in the work of the Holy Spirit as promised and evidenced by the empowerment of the Holy Spirit to be a witness - that the Holy Spirit endows those within the body of Christ with various gifts as a manifestation of the Spirit and for the edification and upbuilding of the church - that the most important work of the Holy Spirit is the manifestation of the fruit of the Spirit in the life of the believer (John 14:16-26; Acts 2:39; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:1-4; Acts 4:29-31; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11, 28-31; Romans 12:6-8; Ephesians 4:8-12; Galatians 5:22-23),
- divine healing is an integral part of the gospel - deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement and is the privilege of all believers (Isaiah 53:4, 5; Matthew 8:16, 17; James 5:14-16),
- the prosperity of believers is a commitment of God to those who diligently seek Him (Matthew 6:33; 3 John 3:2; Deuteronomy 28:1-14; 2 Corinthians 8:9),
- in the resurrection of the dead: believers to eternal joy with Jesus Christ, and the unbelievers to eternal damnation (1 Corinthians 15:42, 54; Revelations 20:11-15),
- that Satan is real - he is one of the angels who fell (demon) and that he is defeated and powerless over God's children (Job 1:6-7; 2 Corinthians 11:14-15; 1 Peter 5:8; Mark 16:17; Luke 10:17-20),
- in the visible, personal and imminent return of Jesus Christ (Zechariah 14:4, 5; Matthew 24:27, 30; Acts 1:10, 11; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 Corinthians 15:51, 52),
- in the final judgment: the everlasting conscious blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost (Luke 16:19-31; Revelations 6:9-11; Revelations 21:4, 8; Revelations 22:1-5; Revelations 7:9-10; Revelations 19:20; Revelations 20:11-15; Matthew 25:46; Romans 14:12; John 5:29).
If you would like to ask Jesus into your life and know thereby the salvation of God, (Revelations 3:20)....please pray this prayer:
Dear God,
I know I am a sinner and I am sorry for my sins. I ask right now for your forgiveness. I do believe that Jesus is the Son of God, that He died on the cross and rose again from the dead.
I accept Him now as my personal LORD and SAVIOUR. Grant me your Holy Spirit that He might give me strength to live for you. Thank you dear God for saving me and help me to live a victorious and joyful life for you. In Jesus' name, Amen!
WELCOME TO THE FAMILY OF GOD!
